When the same request comes in twice — an invoice submitted twice, or a customer issue logged through two channels — MergePoint now catches it automatically instead of leaving your team to spot it by hand.
Set matching rules once (an exact invoice number, a fuzzy customer name, or AI similarity for free-text requests), and every new task is checked against your open queue the moment it's created. Likely duplicates surface right on the task; compare the candidates side by side and either link the duplicate to the original or dismiss it as unrelated. Exact matches can even auto-link on creation, so nobody ends up working — or paying — the same request twice.
