The Workflow Canvas is MergePoint's visual editor for building automations. Each workflow is a graph: nodes are the steps, and edges are the connections between them.
From the Workflows section, click New Workflow or select an existing workflow to open it. The canvas loads in Edit mode by default.
The Node Toolbar sits on the left side of the canvas. It contains every node type you can add to your workflow, organised by category:
Trigger-first lock: Until you configure the Start trigger, the rest of the toolbar stays locked. Set your trigger first — the canvas unlocks immediately after.
Three ways to add a node:
Hover over a node to reveal its output handles (right side) and input handles (left side). Drag from an output handle to an input handle on another node to create a connection.

Sticky notes are non-executable annotations you can place anywhere on the canvas — for instructions, context, or section labels. Add one from the toolbar. They don't run as part of the workflow.
